The university said the water system of the Cadman Building, in College Road, Stoke-on-Trent, would now be cleaned through chemical treatment.

    Nottingham Probation Office

A water tank at a Notts Probation Service office has been disinfected after legionella bacteria was discovered.
The alert was raised after a routine inspection at the service's Derby Road office in Nottingham on Friday.
Over the weekend the cold water storage tank and other outlets in the building were cleaned and disinfected.
Legionella can cause the potentially fatal legionnaires' disease, particularly in the elderly and vulnerable.
A spokesman for the probation service said none of the office's 112 staff had become ill as a result of the bug.
She said: "The precautions in place are that the hot water taps and hot water boilers are not being used. The matter has been reported to the Health and Safety Executive."
Staff were told about the bacteria by e-mail on Friday.
One worker said: "It has not gone down well at all. It should not have happened."
The Health and Safety Executive is not investigating the incident.
