    Luton and Dunstable Hospital

    Legionella bacteria has been found in the surgical and maternity blocks at a hospital in Bedfordshire.
    The bacteria was found at the Luton and Dunstable Hospital as part of a routine check for Legionella, which grows in warm water.
    However, there have been no cases of Legionnaires' disease.
    The hospital has closed showers and baths in the areas affected and alternative arrangements for washing have been made for patients.

    Ashcroft Home, Sutton-in-Ashfield

    A second Nottinghamshire care home is to close over concerns about legionella bacteria, officials have said.
    The Ashcroft Home in Sutton-in-Ashfield has faced problems with its water quality for some months. The 38 staff and 17 residents will be relocated.
    Daleside in Forest Town closed two months ago for the same reason.
    Nottinghamshire County Council said while there was no immediate health danger, the age of the buildings meant they could not be properly upgraded.

    Water Meadows Complex, Mansfield

    A Nottinghamshire leisure centre has been closed after legionella bacteria was found in the water system.
    The organism, which can cause dangerous respiratory problems, was found during testing of the showers at the Water Meadows complex in Mansfield.
    The district council said there would be a programme of cleaning and retesting and the centre would be closed for at least 12 days.
